Vince Wallace

Vince Wallace is a professional percussionist and music educator from Pittsburgh, PA. He is currently a teacher for Propel Charter Schools where has taught 4th through 8th grade band and percussion since 2012. Vince is also the director and owner of the Pittsburgh Steeline, the official drumline of the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he has performed as a drummer at over one hundred Pittsburgh Steelers home football games, and hundreds of corporate, community, and charity events with the Steeline over the last 12+ years.

Vince received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Master’s Degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Composition at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where he also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Truman State Percussion Studio from 2009 until 2011. Vince is a an active freelance percussionist and educator throughout Western Pennsylvania, having been Percussion Coordinator for the Gateway High School Marching Band and Gateway Indoor Drumline from 2005 until 2013, and performed with the Altoona Symphony, McKeesport Symphony, Butler Symphony, and IUP’s Keystone Wind Ensemble. He has also been a clinician and consultant with many local school band programs including Norwin High School, Kiski Area High School, and Quaker Valley High School.

Vince co-owned Monroeville Music Lesson Center, a storefront music lesson studio offering lessons on a wide variety of instruments in Monroeville, PA, and taught percussion lessons there from 2013 until 2018. He continued teaching at MMLC as a percussion instructor until 2023 at which time he opened a private studio space. Vince has taught drum/percussion lessons to hundreds of students from over a dozen school districts and all walks of life. He currently resides in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania.
